Dr. Nilendu Jani Brings Experience from ICONOCI, i2 Technologies and Sabre; Will Focus on Fulfillment Optimization Techniques
DALLAS, Texas – November 20, 2002 – As part of its push to enable clients to efficiently manage the entire order creation to delivery life cycle, Nextjet Technologies, the proven provider in the global web-services logistics marketplace, has added Dr. Nilendu Jani to its highly talented software engineering team. In his Operational Research Scientist role, Dr. Jani will lead the on-going development of fulfillment management applications that enhance the deep Nextjet transportation management platform.
Dr. Jani holds seventeen years of supply chain and order management software development experience from both established players such as i2 Technologies and Sabre as well as his own entrepreneurial endeavor, ICONOCI. Dr. Jani brings a unique combination of commercialization and engineering skills to his role at Nextjet Technologies, leveraging executive management experience as the CEO and Founder of ICONOCI along with product development and advanced optimization efforts in the transportation, process and manufacturing sectors.

Dr. Jani’s past accomplishments include building a real-time fulfillment planning solution for high-volume, distribution intensive commerce with ICONOCI. Previously, he developed a ground resource planning and scheduling system used by several major global airlines to manage the replenishment of aircraft by fuel transport, food service, and other staffed services. Dr. Jani has utilized cellular automata, genetic algorithms, classical operations research, rule-based systems, and neural network technologies throughout his career. He earned his PhD in Mathematical Science and Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he currently serves on the Industry Advisory Council for the Department of Computer Science.
