Nextjet Technologies and Intech DVS Enter Strategic Alliance to Provide End-to-end, Web-native Logistics Solutions
Software Platform Addresses Key Logistics Dynamics in Latin America
Dallas, Texas (October 17, 2002) – Nextjet Technologies, the proven provider in the global web-services logistics marketplace, and Intech DVS, the emerging source for next generation logistics technology in Latin America, today announced a strategic alliance to offer the Latin American market end-to-end, real-time execution focused solutions that increase the productivity of transportation and logistics operations. Intech DVS will serve as the exclusive distributor for Nextjet Technologies transportation management software applications throughout Mexico and Latin America.
Nextjet Technologies’ web-native, J2EE applications meet the real-time shipment visibility requirements of the Mexican and Latin American market. Moreover, the Nextjet platform connects the universe of transport companies available to move multi-modal shipments in a given region, many of whom may be smaller, independent trucking, bus, and inter-city courier companies. Customers will realize a tangible return on investment through improvements in meeting delivery commitments and reduced transportation costs.
Nextjet Technologies serves global transportation organizations on both the service provider and shipper side, and claims deep logistics software engineering and operating experience. Intech DVS, headed by Lane Smith, is a company led by executives with numerous years of experience in the supply chain technology arena. The Intech DVS team has steered logistics management software deployments for prominent Mexican companies including Cemex, Mabe, Grupo Modelo, and Gamesa, amongst others.
“Nextjet Technologies has a strong track record of supporting companies in transforming cumbersome, manual logistics functions into highly efficient, automated processes, allowing better execution with substantially reduced costs,” said Steve O'Brien, Co-CEO of Nextjet Technologies. “We are highly confident that through our alliance with Intech, we will address the unique transportation and logistics requirements of companies operating throughout the region.”
“I am confident that this alliance will help us deliver value to Latin American companies through offering an end-to-end logistics solution,” said Lane Smith, CEO of Intech DVS. “We see this deployment driving greater competitive advantage for Latin organizations to compete more efficiently in the global marketplace.”
